The Walk-In-Sauna project is my graduation project at the Avans Hogeschool in Tilburg. The building offers a short sauna experience for everybody who wants to have a moment of relaxation in the middle of the city Eindhoven. The design is based on autarky to be energy self-sufficient, and it is based on the traditional Finnish sauna traditions. During this sauna route the visitor will also experience the outside elements of nature through different senses, because some elements of the route are placed in outdoor spaces. To be energy self-sufficient the building is designed to make optimal use of natural elements as the sun, wind, rain and earth.
